This near trillion-dollar takeaway from America's national defense community could easily kill hundreds of thousands of defense jobs across America, wreaking havoc on our economy while at the same time jeopardizing our safety.

The Pentagon is a source of 3.6 million jobs. Many of these are high paying, advanced manufacturing and R&D jobs coveted by state economic development teams. These jobs in turn support countless more jobs in military and defense communities throughout America – from contractor suppliers to grocers and car dealers near military installations.
